Grandparents play a vital role in the life and development of young people. This workshop will provide participants with ideas for building strong relationships with their grandchildren whether they live near or far or they’re toddlers, teens or college students.

You may be asking what an elder orphan is, and how it affects aging. In this program, we will take you through the description defining an elder orphan, how aging bids compromise, but without the necessary support to age well, how a person that falls into this category can find it difficult to get the help they need. We will discuss options and ways we can help those that age alone.

In our fast-paced world, the effects of isolation on the mental and physical health of our older adults and seniors have become increasingly evident. Research has linked social isolation and loneliness to higher risks for a variety of conditions, including high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, weakened immune system, anxiety, depression, cognitive decline, and Alzheimer’s disease.
