Senior Advisor
Elderwerks Senior Advisors are an
important part of our not-for-profit organization. They help families find
senior housing, care, support, and benefits as well as support the senior
communities, hospitals, and other organizations in their area. The following
are the requirements for this position:
- Ability to meet multiple demands and diverse needs in
fast-paced, changing environments.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work
extremely well as part of a team.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills, and
ability to build rapport.
- Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative
mind.
- Skilled in developing and delivering engaging,
articulate audience presentations.
- Ability to evaluate the cost of a program and
determine the relative benefits for the organization.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage
sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and
professionalism.
- Must have a background in the senior industry.
- Must be able to market, develop, and support senior
communities.
- Must be empathetic and want to help seniors with any
needs.
- Must be able to work independently at home with
supportive computer equipment and an iPad or laptop to assist when on the
road.
- Advisors represent Elderwerks and must always dress
appropriately for all events, meetings and business after hours.
- Must be proficient in Apple iPhones and iPads
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including
PowerPoint, or related software.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Previous experience will be reviewed.
This is a full-time, base
plus commission position.
Intake Specialist
Elderwerks Intake Specialists
welcome everyone into the Elderwerks Center. The job is fluid and supportive of
the Center and all the services provided from our location.
- Enter data into the system
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for
staff
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Support education inside and outside of Elderwerks
- Manage and distribute mail
- Maintain and help clean the Center
- Be kind, courteous, and supportive to anyone making
contact with Elderwerks
- Must be proficient in all
Microsoft products.
- Must be detail-oriented and a good communicator.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to
multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling
multiple phone lines.
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and customer
service principles.
- Attention to detail when performing data entry tasks.
- Ability to adapt to new situations and
be flexible.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Must be able to work independently and multi-task.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
This is a part-time position.
Education Specialist
Elderwerks Education Specialists
utilize their skills to present relevant aging topics to professionals and
consumers.
- Must have a desire to educate on aging topics
- Must be a dynamic speaker and enunciate well.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, mature, and
patient.
- Skilled with working on computers,
keyboarding skills, and utilizing various software
programs.
- Must be skilled on smart phones.
- Read, comprehend, and write legibly in English.
- Comprehend and perform oral and written instructions
and procedures.
- Calculate math figures and amounts.
- Ability to speak English effectively to individuals,
customers and, or employees of Elderwerks.
- Requires dependable personal transportation.
- The work schedule is flexible; however, you
must be available to work during the week.
- Works from home,
the Elderwerks office, and travel offsite for education
