Addus HomeCare

assisted living services Addus HomeCare

Addus HomeCare is a leading provider of comprehensive home care and support services. Patient-focused and innovative, we are always looking for top talent - in direct care, skilled care and leadership. Great opportunities await!

A lot has changed in the more than 40 years since Addus began back in 1979, but our core objective remains the same: providing great care for the elderly, disabled and chronically ill, especially those who are at risk of hospitalization or institutionalization. We started out as a home cleaning service and then began providing chore services to Chicago’s at-risk elderly population through a contract with the city.

In 2016, Addus refined its strategy to focus on growth in the states in which we have a current presence while adding clinical care services to our offerings. We now provide personal care to over 42,000 patients while providing home health and hospice services to over 3,600 patients. We now have 210 offices in 22 states.

All Trust Home Care

assisted living services All Trust Home Care

While living independently is critical to health and happiness, there may come a time when a little help with everyday activities can make a difference in how much you or your loved one enjoys life. We understand. And we can help.

Our Care Pros offer a variety of support in different care scenarios depending on each client’s unique needs. Regardless of the care scenario, rest assured that each Care Pro is licensed and fully bonded, well versed in providing support and assistance and dedicated to making a difference in the lives he or she serves.

Hourly Care

Hourly Care is available beginning with a minimum of a six hour consecutive shift. We can tailor a schedule based upon your care needs with a shift lasting up to twelve hours. We often work with clients who are awake overnight and having a Care Pro who is alert and able to tend to their needs is very reassuring to the family. Many families opt for Hourly Care because it allows for them to schedule a Care Pro for the specific time frame which works best for them.

Stay In Care

In a Stay In scenario, a Caregiver is staying at the clients home for multiple days at a time. Per the Department of Labor guidelines, the Client provides private sleeping quarters, separate from the Client, and provides food for the Caregivers. Each work day is comprised of sixteen working hours, and eight hours of uninterrupted sleep time.

Alzheimer’s Care and Support

Caring for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease or related memory concerns requires special training and skills. Our Care Pros have the skills and tools needed to successfully provide care in support in these challenging scenarios. Memory care and support is available for both Hourly and Stay In care needs.

Services

Our Care Pros customize their approach to each client’s unique needs and preferences. Potential services include, but are not limited to:

  • Bathing assistance
  • Medication reminders
  • Assist with transfers to and from bed, chairs, bathrooms etc…
  • Hoyer lifts
  • Incontinence care
  • Meal preparation
  • Transportation to appointments
  • Companionship
  • Assist with dressing
  • Assist with walking

Assisting Hands Home Care

assisted living services Assisting Hands Home Care

It is a growing trend for individuals throughout the United States to receive some form of in-home care services. It ensures that those in need of the care can maintain the independence they have grown accustomed to throughout their lives and remain in a comfortable and familiar environment. However, there are some cases in which these individuals require additional supervision and care beyond what is typically involved.

At Assisting Hands Home Care, we address these situations through our live-in care and 24-hour care services. The primary difference between live-in care and 24-hour care is the level of attentiveness provided. Through our live-in caregiving services, we provide the services of a caregiver who lives in the home and rotates every 3 to 4 days with another caregiver. This means that they will need a personal space to sleep for 5 to 6 uninterrupted hours per night. When they are awake, they will provide care as it is needed.

Live-in or 24 hour care – your loved ones will always be taken care of

Through our 24-hour caregiving services, you will benefit from an attentive caregiver 24 hours a day.

This is because a new caregiver will arrive every 12 hours to begin a new shift. This means that if something happens during the night, somebody will be ready to provide assistance. It also means that our caregivers do not need their own place to sleep. This is great for clients who need constant supervision due to a medical condition. While we cannot provide medical care, we can get emergency personnel on-site in short order.

Non-Medical Home Health Care

Regardless of which option you choose, our Assisting Hands Home Care caregivers will provide industry-leading care. Our caregivers are not nurses, so they cannot provide injections, change bandages, or assist with similar medical tasks; however, they can help with just about anything else. This includes:

  • Preparing Meals
  • Reminding clients when to take medications, and in what dosages
  • Transportation assistance within, and outside of, the home
  • Changing clothes
  • Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, bed making)
  • Grooming, bathing, using the restroom, etc.
  • Getting into and out of the bed
  • Companionship
