The Adult Protective Services Program (APS) investigates reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect of adults age 60 or older, and adults age 18-59 with disabilities living in the community. APS works to:
Assess safety and risk
Stop or reduce harm
Connect individuals with community resources and supports
Promote independence, dignity, and the least restrictive interventions possible
APS services are voluntary and client-centered. Our goal is to protect vulnerable adults while respecting their rights and personal choices.
