Hello, I’m Daniel Knipschield, and I’m proud to lead a trusted home care agency serving Rockford, IL, and the surrounding areas.

As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I bring the same commitment to integrity, reliability, and service to our care approach. With a background in operations management, I established this agency to offer home care that is adaptable, honest, and focused entirely on the unique needs of each client.

A lifelong resident of Northern Illinois, I’m deeply connected to this community and dedicated to helping local families find the support they deserve. Whether your loved one requires occasional assistance or more comprehensive care, our experienced team is here to ensure they remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for in the place they call home.

Senior Helpers of Rockford Provides dependable, consistent and affordable in-home non-medical personal and companion care services to assist the elderly, disabled or convalescent maintain their independence in the privacy of their home and provide peace of mind for their families.


Our caregivers possess a genuine desire to help people and require qualities such as experience, patience and understanding. Senior Helpers of Rockford is licensed by the State of Illinois and all caregivers are insured and bonded and must pass a fingerprint criminal and felony background investigation. By offering our services on an hourly basis up to 24-hours “round the clock”, we can handle any situation that may arise.

If your elderly loved one is suffering from Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, it can also take a tremendous toll on your own physical and emotional well-being. But with assistance from Senior Helpers, you don't have to go it alone.

We can create a customized home care plan that changes as your loved one's needs change. Our care team has extensive training and experience in providing the right level of individual care and support, while carefully monitoring everything from medication to daily activities. ~Our Services~

Companion Care

For our basic level of care, caregivers provide services such as companionship, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, and other general assistance. For sitter services, caregivers sit with and monitor a client during their hospital or facility stay. The caregiver can then follow the client home to provide a smooth transition.

Personal Care

For our advanced level of care, our professional and experienced caregivers provide basic companion care plus assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation assistance. These services are initially assessed and regularly monitored by our Client Service Representative.

Live-In Care

Our caregivers are available to provide 24-hour coverage, as long as they can sleep for eight hours per night and receive appropriate breaks. Live-in care can be provided for a minimum of two consecutive days, up to seven days per week indefinitely.

Peace of Mind Visit

Our unique Peace of Mind Visit program is a short visit each day to help clients with, among other things, bathing assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, getting out of or in to bed, and “check-ins.”

Transition Assistance

We know it can be challenging for families when a member is discharged from a hospital. This service ensures that clients are guided through the outpatient surgery and recovery period. We are available for help prior to surgery and will accompany a client each step of the way through full recovery, including transportation to follow-up doctor visits.

Sitter Services

We provide caregivers to sit with and monitor your loved ones when family is not able to be there. Sitter services can be rendered at home, in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and continuing care retirement communities.

Respite Care

Respite care is a unique program to assist families by providing care for a short period of time, such as vacations.
