Why is Hydration Important?

Water and hydration play an essential role in your health. Without adequate water, the body will not function properly. About 70 percent of the human body’s weight is water, and about 80 percent of brain tissue is made of water. Since the body does not store water, you have to replenish it daily to keep up with the body’s hydration needs.

The average human should aim to drink at least 3 liters of water daily. However, the specific amount of water you need will depend on your sex, activity level, and overall health.
