Why is Fall Prevention Important?
Falls are one of the leading causes of injuries in adults 65 and older. A fall for a senior can lead to serious health outcomes, such as broken bones, fractures, and concussions. In some cases, a fall can affect a senior’s independence or cause long-term mobility challenges.
While falls are common, many falls are also preventable. Understanding and implementing fall prevention techniques, such as regular exercise and small home modifications, is essential to reducing fall risks.
