How Elderwerks Supports Seniors

Elderwerks Educational Services (Elderwerks) is a social service organization offering complimentary information, referrals, and guidance to caregivers, families, older adults, seniors, and professionals. Our team supports others with:
  • Free senior housing information and referrals including assisted living, memory care, independent living, senior apartments, group homes, CCRCs, and other care options including home care.
  • Benefits include local, federal, and veterans’ benefits based on your needs.
  • Referrals for local services such as elder law attorneys, geriatric care managers, money managers, Medicare experts, or any other profession needed to help someone stay home well or transition to a new lifestyle.
  • Advocacy for seniors who aren't being taken care of well, are being taken advantage of, or are neglected.
  • Education in aging topics leads to better care and planning for aging well. Elderwerks provides hundreds of opportunities for community members throughout the year.
  • Elderwerks Senior Resource Directory includes 340-pages on local and federal programs, services, benefits, and aging articles.
  • Aging Better Expo is a free event for caregivers, adult children, older adults, and seniors being held on August 14, 2024, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at Stonegate Banquet & Conference Centre in Hoffman Estates.
  • Latino Senior Expo is a free event for Hispanic seniors being held on September 19, 2024, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Centre of Elgin.
  • Make a Senior Smile collects cards from local community members and then delivers to isolated seniors throughout Illinois.
  • Stepping Out for Fitness is a free, virtual exercise challenge to keep our seniors on their feet. Anyone can join and a free t-shirt is given to the first 100 registrants.

All Elderwerks community programs are free to older adults, seniors, and their families. Call 855-462-0100 for your person assistance and more information on Elderwerks programs.
