Alzheimer's Care
With its plentiful greenery, spectacular mountain views and warm atmosphere, visitors to Silverado Aspen Park immediately know that this is no ordinary memory care and rehabilitation facility. A lively atmosphere where children and pets are common sights, the Aspen Park community is tailored made to engage residents with memory problems and allow them to remain social while continuing to enjoy the things that were important to them before their diagnosis.

Silverado’s team members are specially trained to provide individualized care that is just as focused on mind and spirit as it is on body, from residents in the early stages of memory impairment to those needing a higher level of dementia care. This attention to staff and care helps Silverado provide far more than assisted living - it allows us to give dignity and wonderful quality of life to those with memory conditions.

Activities, Amenities and Programs

•Multiple choices of secure, enclosed courtyards and walking trails encourage residents to remain mobile and maintain strength and balance. This helps foster a sense of independence and freedom while maintaining safety.

•A heated swimming pool with a consistent shallow depth where residents can enjoy water activities while socializing with friends. One to one associate support insures that residents are safely supported and supervised.

•Numerous garden activities where residents can participate in familiar projects which bring back memories and reconnect them with histories and experiences with farming or plant cultivation hobbies.

Assisted Living •Aspen Park has numerous live in pets, including dogs, cats, birds, other small animals and even a chicken coop! Residents may be able to move into the community with their beloved companion provided the pet fits in with others in the environment. Community animals provide love and companionship as well as giving residents the opportunity to maintain dignity and self-esteem by helping provide care to animals if they wish. This “sense of purpose” pet care brings is a hallmark goal of Silverado programs and services.

•Activity programs (we call them engagements) that are age-appropriate, build self esteem, maintain dignity and offer opportunities for growth and creativity. Club programs are designed with the resident’s abilities, interests, and histories in mind. The goal of all programs is to have fun, prevent boredom, boost confidence, share friendships, and have opportunities for new experiences.

•Communities are arranged in "neighborhoods" designed with residents' senior living needs, abilities and interests taken into account. Care and programming are tailored to meet the specific criteria of each individual resident. Programs within each neighborhood challenge each person appropriately without being too easy or frustrating.

•Associates are trained to meet the social, cognitive, and behavioral needs of residents through advanced communication skills and behavior prevention and intervention techniques.
