Silverado Bee Cave is a memory care community designed from the ground up to provide for the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy body and other memory conditions. Our communities are conceived to be lively places where residents remain social while they continue to enjoy the things that were important to them before their diagnosis. Relaxing music, delightful cooking smells and an overall sense of comfort permeate the atmosphere, helping us achieve our goal of providing the best possible quality of life to our residents.
Silverado’s team members are specially trained to provide individualized care that is focused equally on mind, spirit and body, from residents in the beginning stages of memory impairment to those needing a greater level of dementia care. Whether working with residents in the community’s garden or providing basic care to improve quality of life, comfort and dignity are our goals. This attention to staff and care helps Silverado provide far more than assisted living, giving the highest quality of life possible to those with memory conditions.
Activities, Amenities and Programs
•Large windows and open architecture give the community’s interior a very unrestricted feel, limiting and overly-clinical feel that can cause residents a sense of confinement.
•We see family involvement as a key factor in quality of life, so we don’t limit visiting hours and meals for visiting family are free.
•Walking paths, gazebo, gardens, putting green and courtyards encourage freedom of movement, inviting residents to spend time outside. Our secure, enclosed outdoor areas encourage residents to be mobile and maintain strength and balance. This helps foster a sense of independence and freedom while maintaining safety.
•Sizable garden with custom-built raised planters to make it easy for residents to enjoy gardening activities. Familiar projects like these bring back memories and reconnect participants with histories and experiences with agriculture or gardening.
•Age-appropriate activity programs we call "engagements" boost confidence, maintain dignity and offer opportunities for growth and creativity. Club programs are designed with residents’ abilities, interests and histories in mind. The goal of all programs is to have fun, prevent boredom, boost confidence, develop friendships and provide opportunities for new senior living experiences.
•Playground encourages family members to bring children for visits while providing residents a wonderful focal point to enjoy their youthful energy.
•Regular outings to areas of interest, restaurants and more.
•Residents may be able to move into the community with their beloved pets, provided the pet fits in with others in the environment. Community animals provide love and companionship as well as giving residents the opportunity to maintain dignity and self-esteem by helping provide care to animals if they wish. This “sense of purpose” pet care brings is a hallmark goal of Silverado programs and services.
