Belmont Village of Glenview

Alzheimer's Care
Belmont Village of Glenview, Illinois is situated in the heart of a beautiful residential area. Our community is convenient to Old Orchard, the botanical gardens and many places of worship. There are also major medical centers and hospitals in close to the facility, including the new Glenview Senior Center. Equally significant as Belmont’s handy location is the fact that it was built to provide a higher standard of care for assisted living.

Mature landscaping and generous grounds provide a variety of enjoyable outdoor areas and activities such as bocce ball and a three-hole golf course. Inside, residents enjoy Belmont’s distinctive interiors and signature programs in hospitality, dining and activities. And all residents are cared for by a stable and caring team of professionals who live in the local community.

Belmont Village recognized several years ago that there was an underserved segment of our population who did not need Alzheimer’s care, but did need more cognitive support than typically found in senior living. To serve that need, we developed our Circle of Friends® program for residents with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). The response from our residents and families has been very positive over the years and the program has since been recognized with a Healthcare Quality Improvement Award from George Mason University.

The Center for Life Enhancement is staffed by exercise specialists during regular operating hours. These professionals are available to answer questions, design exercise plans and assist residents in use of the equipment. Individual appointments may also be scheduled.

Belmont Village has partnered with Paxxon Healthcare Services to provide Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies at all of our communities. Therapy is provided by licensed therapists and assistants. Our collaboration will help us provide a high level of rehabilitation services to enhance residents’ quality of life, improve overall level of adjustment, and nurture independence.

The Belmont Village Center for Learning (CFL) is a unique educational program based on university research and created to achieve two important objectives: staff training and enrichment for residents. Staying active and involved while learning new skills helps maintain, and even enhance, mental functions. Through the CFL, we encourage lifelong learning and growth by providing a senior-friendly computing environment designed to help residents discover fun new ways to learn and communicate.

Assisted LivingBelmont Village residents can choose from a variety of studio and one-bedroom residence plans. While most residents provide their own furniture, Belmont Village can provide assistance with obtaining furniture if required.

All Assisted Living residences have kitchenettes including an under-counter refrigerator, microwave oven, cabinets, and sink. Dementia residences do not have microwaves.

Assisted living residences include a private bathroom with an easy-access shower and ample closet and storage spaces. All bathrooms have a 24-hour nightlight and grab bars.

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning are controlled individually in each residence. Blinds are provided for windows. Basic cable TV is provided in each residence.

Residences feature lever handles for easy use on doors and faucets. Electrical outlets are raised and switches are lowered for easy access. Two emergency assistance call switches are provided in each residence. All residences are barrier-free.

Weekly housekeeping is included in monthly rent. Laundromats are located throughout the building and are provided free of charge for residents.

Guided by experts in senior living and with input from seniors and families, we planned Belmont Village as a place where our residents can live life to the fullest. Our commitment to high standards in building design and safety, hospitality, and support forms the foundation for everything that we do - from Assisted Living to Alzheimer’s Care. Best of all, each location has been carefully selected for its neighborhood charm as well as its convenience to shopping and medical centers, so that each Belmont Village is truly a community within a community.
