Elderwerks Educational Services is your helping hand through the aging process. Think of us as your "Senior Guidance Counselors". Our Senior Advisors offer personalized referrals and guidance, at no cost to you. What are your needs? Are you trying to stay home for as long as possible? Are you thinking about moving, but don't know where to start? Call Elderwerks. We are here to help. The following is a list of services we provide:
Information - we offer education on must-know topics such as the Veterans Aid and Attendance benefit, qualifications for Medicaid, the legal and financial aspects of aging and much more. We offer the opportunity to learn so that you can plan and prepare for your future.
Refer - we refer home care agencies, independent living, retirement living, assisted living, memory care and Alzheimer's care, sheltered care, CCRCs, skilled nursing facilities and senior apartments based on a person(s). We don't just hand out a list. We work with you to figure out what options are best for you and your loved one. We then refer appropriate communities and providers that meet your criteria.
Guidance - we guide you through the world of senior living. Every senior is unique and has their own special nuances. We will help guide you to appropriate services such as elder law attorneys, SRES realtors, Senior Move Managers, community resources and any other service you may need.
Person-Centered Assistance - your own personal Senior Advisor will be with you every step of the way. The direction to your success:
- Elderwerks Advisors talk with you on the phone to get the facts about you and your loved one.
- Within a short period of time your Senior Advisor will send you referrals of the communities or home care agencies discussed.
- The communities and/or providers will reach out to you to schedule a tour.
- Your Advisor can tour with you if you'd like.
- There will be constant communication between you and your advisor so that we can make sure we know what you liked, didn't like or need from the communities.
- If you need more options we will send them.
- We will also discuss VA qualifications for the Veterans Aid and Attendance benefit, is Medicaid in your future, are your assets protected and what we can do to help you move forward.
- Once you choose a provider or community we are your advocate for life. That means if you have any issues you just call us. We'll help you through the issue and help get the issues resolved.
SIMPLE - Elderwerks offers simple solutions to your senior housing and care needs. Best of all, we are a complimentary service! There is no cost to call us for any reason. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)3 helping any senior in need. We are funded by senior communities and providers in our network as well as through fundraising and grants.
