Suzanne is coordinator for Congregational Outreach for the Office for Mission and Spiritual Care for Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Condell and Sherman Hospital. Suzanne supports the area churches with Health and Wellness education seminars, for physical, mental and social well-being. In collaboration with the churches, Suzanne develops and initiates new programs and activities which strengthen partnerships between the Advocate Aurora and congregations all the while supporting health and wellness of body, mind and spirit, a “holistic” approach to caring for the whole person.

Carolyn is a marketing and business development executive with extensive experience in the technology industry. During her career with IBM, she was one of the initial marketers chartered with redefining the artificial intelligence (AI) category and commercializing IBM Watson. As an Adoption Leader, she worked with start-ups, enterprises and universities to educate them about the potential of AI, and to leverage IBM Watson marketing programs. She has broad industry expertise with special interest in healthcare, home care and education.

Carolyn also co-founded the 2nd Act Players in 2013, a non-profit theater based in Evanston, IL. The theater’s mission is to foster emerging talent through performances that explore second acts in people’s lives such as aging and caring for an ailing parent in funny, heart-warming and thoughtful ways.

She holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School.

Gregory J. Barry is an attorney at Zukowski, Rogers, Flood & McArdle (ZRFM). He focuses his practice on elder law, wills and trusts, intellectual property and real estate. As an elder law  practitioner, he focuses on helping seniors and their families navigate the complex web of regulations, medical decisions and financial considerations of the retirement years. His elder law practice includes:

• Qualifying seniors and disabled adults for Medicaid and other benefit
• Managing long-term care options
• Planning for incapacity
• Estate planning and probate administration

Barry advises business clients on intellectual property issues, from copyright enforcement to trademark registration. He assists homeowners and condominium associations on covenant enforcement, collection of assessments, and other litigation matters. He also practices municipal law, working with local governments on annexation and disconnection proceedings, eminent domain litigation, land use and zoning issues.

 

Greg also serves as McHenry County’s Public Guardian and Public Administrator, following his appointment by the Governor on October 18, 2019. As Public Guardian, he serves as the court-appointed guardian for adults with disabilities in our community who have nobody else to help them with their personal and financial well-being, to avoid them becoming a ward of the state, if possible. As the Public Administrator, he is responsible for overseeing and administering probate estates in our county when no family member is able to serve as the executor, so that the estate is not run by creditors.

 

A resident of Woodstock, Greg was born in Connecticut. He graduated from high school in Toronto before attending the University of Notre Dame and earning his law degree from the University of Texas. He enjoys genealogical research and reading about history, and he is an avid card and game player.

Bill Collingbourne RICP joined Elderwerks Educational Services Board on June 22, 2022. Growing up with parents who earned a living going to auctions and garage sales in order to purchase items to resell taught me the value of money. Whether it was a bicycle, pool table or boat cover, my parents never missed the opportunity to buy something to resell. Originally from Mt. Prospect, with brief stops at the University of Iowa to study English and Women's Studies, and Denver for post-graduate work, I have called Palatine home for over 20 years. As a proud owner of Minerva Vintage Boutique from 2000-2006, I grew to love antiques and vintage fashion! Building on my community ties and many wonderful professional relationships, I became a real estate broker in 2006 and continued to serve residents throughout the northwest suburbs.

Through 18 successful years in the real estate industry, my home has been with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Starck Real Estate. Starck has brought many opportunities for success, positive training for best ethical standards in our industry, and an emphasis on philanthropy in our community. As a trusted Realtor, I have an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives- to help families through a stressful time, and support them as they make a house into a home. For over 20 years I have been an active member in the Northwest Suburban Alumni Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma, our sorority alumnae group is committed to outreach and philanthropy on both a national and local level. I’ve served as Treasurer and Secretary of NWSAA, and more recently as our Panhellenic Delegate to NW Suburban Alumni Panhellenic, a local group of participating sororities, dedicated to sisterhood, philanthropy, and furthering the educational opportunities for local college bound women.
