This presentation will be a broad overview of aging and dementia and will address specific risks and protective factors. It will also include specific signa and symptoms that may be more prevalent in individuals within this community. The audience will develop understanding of the impact of AIDS/HIV epidemic in the 1980s and learn about resources that can help this community.
Dr. Holmes received her doctorate at Adler University where she also focused on social justice and advocating for marginalized individuals. Currently she works under Dr. LaVigne at NeuroClinic and Assessments providing neuropsychological assessments to those with brain injuries, ADHD, learning disabilities, Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well various psychiatric disorders that present with cognitive concerns.
