In this course you will learn:
* Understanding dementia
* Effectively communicating with individuals with dementia
* Assisting individuals with dementia in performing activities of daily living
* Problem solving with individuals with dementia who exhibit challenging behavior
* Fundamentals of dementia care
* Safe environments
* Managing the activities of individuals with dementia.

~ Session One An on-line video session to complete at your leisure. A post-test must be passed by the Session Two date you registered for.
Approx. 3 hours.
~ Session Two Due to COVID-19 this class is virtual. Enroll for Session Two when you enroll for Session One.
Maximum 12 per class
~ Session Two must be completed the same month as your on-line session. Two dates to choose from.
~ Once both sessions are complete, you will receive 6 Continuing Education Credits for this dementia training.
