QPR Presentation
Thursday, July 18, 2019
7 pm – 8 pm Q&A to follow

Join us for a special presentation by Scott Campbell & Brian McCallum, and learn how you can become a QPR Gatekeeper.

Our Instructors:
Scott Campbell, ACSW, LCSW, is Clinical Director of Samaritan Counseling and provides consulting to schools, businesses, churches and nonprofits. Scott has more than 45 years of experience in the field of mental health.

Brian McCallum, LCPC, serves as Intake Coordinator and Staff Counselor at Samaritan Counseling. Brian has experience in suicide intervention, prevention, and postvention, including answering phone calls for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK).

What is a QPR Gatekeeper?
A QPR Gatekeeper is anyone in a position to recognize the warning signs of someone who might be contemplating suicide. This QPR presentation will teach you simple suicide prevention techniques. Much like CPR or the Heimlich maneuver, the use of QPR may save a life.

What does QPR stand for?

Who needs to know QPR?

If you know of someone who would benefit from this presentation, feel free to invite them to join you. These presentations are open and free to the community. Registration is not required.

If you have an urgent need to meet with someone for support instead of attending the presentation, please let someone at the sign-in desk know and one of our support facilitators will be happy to meet with you immediately.
